How have you been involved in the Magento ecosystem?
I have been actively involved in the Magento ecosystem for over 12 years. Throughout this time, I have witnessed the platform evolve and grow, and I have remained committed to contributing to its community and ecosystem in multiple capacities.
My organization is an Adobe Certified Solution Partner, and we have held this partnership for several years. We operate a dedicated Magento (Adobe Commerce) vertical that delivers end-to-end eCommerce solutions to clients across the globe. From new store development and complex customizations to performance optimization, upgrades, and ongoing support, we cover the full spectrum of Magento services.
As the Head of the Magento/eCommerce vertical within my company, I am deeply involved in strategy, delivery, and team capability building. I have always been a strong advocate and promoter of the Magento platform, both internally within our organization and externally in our client engagements. I actively encourage our teams to stay updated with the latest Magento developments, certifications, and best practices.
In what ways have you contributed to the Magento Association and/or other non-profit communities?
Over the years, I have been actively contributing to the Magento Association and other non-profit communities in various capacities:
Long-standing Member of the Magento Association: I have been associated with the Magento Association for many years and continue to support its mission and initiatives.
Event Participation & Sponsorship: I have consistently participated in and sponsored Magento Meetups and events, both in India and internationally. These events have been valuable platforms for knowledge sharing, networking, and community growth.
Speaking Engagements: I have been a regular speaker at Magento Meetups, where I share insights from real-world implementations, best practices, and evolving trends in the Magento ecosystem.
Promotion of the Magento Ecosystem: I have always been a strong advocate of Magento and the Magento Association, actively promoting the platform and encouraging new developers and businesses to explore its potential.
Open-Source Contributions: My team has contributed to Magento’s open-source codebase and actively participates in discussions around core improvements and community-driven innovation.
Free Extensions on Marketplace: We have developed and published several Magento extensions and plugins on the Magento Marketplace, many of which are offered free of cost to support the broader community.
Leadership in Non-Profit Communities: Beyond Magento, I have also chaired and co-chaired various non-profit and industry groups such as TiE Chandigarh and NASSCOM. These roles have helped me champion innovation, entrepreneurship, and collaboration within the wider tech ecosystem.
These contributions reflect my ongoing commitment to giving back to the community, nurturing talent, and helping Magento and other platforms continue to thrive.
What value would you add to the Board to help us advance our mission?
I have been part of the Magento ecosystem for over 12 years, and during this time, I have played multiple roles, as a solution provider, a community contributor, a team leader, and an advocate for the platform. If I were to join the Board, I believe I could add value in a few meaningful ways.
First, I bring a global and practical perspective. Having worked with Magento clients and teams across different geographies, I understand the real-world challenges and opportunities merchants and developers face. This helps me stay grounded in what the ecosystem truly needs.
I am also a strong believer in community-driven growth. I have consistently promoted Magento in various forums, sponsored and spoken at events, and encouraged others to engage with the platform. I would bring that same energy to the Board—helping to grow the community, especially in emerging regions, and making sure new voices are heard.
In terms of experience, I have served in leadership roles with other non-profit and industry bodies like TiE and NASSCOM, where I have been involved in mentoring, building programs, and driving engagement. I can bring those learnings to help shape and support initiatives that matter to the Magento Association.
Above all, I am someone who shows up and follows through. I care deeply about this ecosystem, and I want to play an active role in helping it thrive as not just by sharing ideas, but by rolling up my sleeves and doing the work alongside others on the Board.
What are the top 3 initiatives you want to see the Board accomplish in the next 6 months?
1. Strengthen Global Community Connection
I would love to see the Board take clear steps toward bringing the global Magento community closer together. There is incredible talent and passion across different regions, but we need more structured opportunities to collaborate, share knowledge, and support each other. Regional meetups, cross-border collaborations, and a stronger digital presence can make the community feel more connected and engaged.
2. Reinforce Confidence in Magento’s Future
There is ongoing concern and uncertainty around the future of Magento, especially in comparison to other platforms. One of the key initiatives should be to actively communicate Magento’s roadmap, success stories, and innovations to the wider audience. The Board should focus on initiatives that build confidence in the platform, highlighting its continued relevance and long-term viability for merchants and developers alike.
3. Launch a Solution Advisory Council
I have seen many merchants lose trust in the platform simply because they were misled by inexperienced or unqualified advisors. Creating a Solution Advisory Council under the Magento Association could help merchants access trusted, unbiased guidance when making key platform decisions. Not only would this restore confidence among new and existing merchants, but it could also enhance the Association’s credibility and potentially open up a new revenue stream through verified consultations or advisory support.
What initiatives do you want to see the Magento Association focus on in the coming years?
Basically working towards solving some of the challenges i shared below as my answer to next question.
What are the biggest challenges that you think the Association has faced and how would you approach them?
One of the biggest challenges I see is the confusion and fragmentation within the ecosystem, particularly around the roles and direction of Magento Open Source, Mage-OS, and the Magento Association. For many merchants, developers, and even agencies, it is unclear who is leading what, and where Magento Open Source is truly headed.
To address this, the Association needs to take a stronger leadership role in clarifying the path forward. This includes clear communication and positioning of Magento Open Source, its long-term vision, and how the community can align and contribute.
If possible, I believe the Association should explore opportunities to collaborate more closely with Mage-OS, and ideally work toward bringing it under the Magento Association umbrella. A unified approach whether through alignment or eventual consolidation would reduce confusion, consolidate efforts, and provide much-needed clarity and confidence for the entire ecosystem.
The goal should be to unify the community, reduce noise, and present a cohesive front that strengthens trust in Magento’s future.
What else would you like to share to either the Election Committee or the membership of the Magento Association as they review your application? What makes you a great candidate to join the Board of Directors?
I genuinely believe I can bring meaningful value to the Board through my experience, perspective, and deep connection with the Magento ecosystem. Having spent over a decade working closely with merchants, developers, and partners across regions, I understand both the opportunities and challenges the community faces today.
The current Board has done an excellent job driving initiatives forward, and I would be honored to collaborate with both existing and new members to continue that momentum. My approach is always collaborative and action-oriented, and I am committed to contributing with sincerity, consistency, and a strong sense of responsibility.
If given the opportunity, I will bring my full energy and expertise to support the Association’s mission and help strengthen Magento’s presence and impact globally.
