4 Reasons You Can't Miss Magento Association Connect on 29 April

In a few days, on 29 April, we'll welcome registrants to the first Magento Association (MA) Connect of 2021. While the team behind the event is busy putting the finishing touches on the experience, they wanted to share four things they're most excited about at this event.

“This time, we had an open call for content and a committee to select the topics, which led to a great mix of talks. With speakers from four continents, I’m thrilled to learn from such a diverse crowd,” shared MA Board Member and MA Connect Planning Committee Member Sonja Franz.

Adds fellow planning committee member Slava Kravchuk, “We definitely have a great content lineup. Magento events are and always have been about the unique spirit of our community, so even though this event is not in-person, we’re going to keep the unbeatable, friendly Magento vibes alive through chat, video meetings and presentation rooms. Come join and experience it yourself!”

Keynote: Adobe Commerce Product Roadmap

After an opening by the MA, there will be a keynote by Chris Hedge, director of product management for Magento Commerce at Adobe. He will share information on the roadmap of Magento — something no one will want to miss.

Meet the Community: Networking & Expo

Marsha Naidoo of the event planning committee notes, "With the Hopin platform we're using, you can meet other attendees for short 1:1 video calls. It’s similar to the hallway track at in-person events. At breaks between sessions, find me in the networking tab!"

Keep in mind, you can also visit booths without sharing video, so you can easily get a quick overview of what the community has to offer.

Build Your Own Schedule

Since MA Connect may take place during your work day, another member of the planning committee, Kate Rusakova, notes that it is not always possible to attend the whole event. Fortunately, through the scheduling tool, you can build your own schedule and add talks to your personal calendar so you don’t miss them. Just go to the event page, navigate to schedule and click on the calendar icon on the right of a talk you are interested in.

Audience Engagement

Finally, Marta Molińska suggests that each event is a possibility to try something new. Especially with virtual events, new features on the platform mean new opportunities for engagement. For example, scheduling a video call with another attendee. She adds, "I’m curious to see how our speakers, attendees and sponsors will use Hopin to engage with others."

If you are at least half as excited as the organizing team, make sure you do not miss MA Connect on 29 April! Register today.
