
Magento Association Board Elections 2025: Public Voting Now Open!
The Magento Association is thrilled to announce that Public Voting for the 2025 Board Elections has officially begun! These elections are a defining moment for our community, as the newly elected Board members will play a critical role in shaping the strategic direction, growth, and future success of the Magento ecosystem. Your participation in this process is vital; by voting, you are directly influencing the decisions and leadership that will impact our community for years to come.
Voting Period
The voting window is open from August 14 to August 28, 2025. We encourage all members to participate and have their say in the direction of the Magento Association.
Two Voting Tracks: Direct (Public) and Slate
Our Board Elections consist of two distinct voting tracks designed to ensure comprehensive and well-rounded leadership:
- Direct (Public) Voting Track: Community members vote directly to elect one Board member. This track emphasizes community engagement and broad participation.
- Slate Voting Track: The Election Committee reviews applications and recommends a slate of candidates to the Board for approval. This track helps fill any skill gaps and ensures diversity within the leadership.
Together, these tracks aim to create a Board that is both representative of our community and strategically positioned to advance our mission.

How to Vote
We have sent personalized emails to all members of the Magento Association, containing their unique login details and instructions for accessing the voting platform, AssociationVoting.com. Please check your inbox for this important email. Additionally, we will be sending reminder emails throughout the voting period on August 18, 2025, August 22, 2025, and August 27, 2025, to ensure everyone has the chance to participate.

Election Timeline: Key Dates to Remember
Here is the detailed timeline for the 2025 Board Election process, guiding you through when and how to get involved:
July 7 – July 25, 2025: Call for Candidate Nominations
The nomination process will open on July 7 for both the direct election track and the slate election track. During this period, community members can submit their applications to be considered for a seat on the Board of Directors
End of July, 2025 - Early August, 2025: MA Election Committee Review
After the nomination window closes, the Magento Association Election Committee will carefully review all applications to ensure that candidates meet the necessary qualifications and represent the values of the community
Early August, 2025: Direct Voting
Starting August 14, 2025, Magento Association members will have the opportunity to cast their votes in the direct election track, which will elect one individual to the Board of Directors. Voting will remain open until August 28, 2025.
Early to late August: Slate Shortlist
Simultaneously, the Election Committee will develop a shortlist for the slate election track, ensuring a well-rounded candidate selection to fill the remaining seats on the Board
Mid August to early September: Slate Interviews
The Election Committee will conduct interviews with shortlisted candidates to evaluate their fit for the Board and their ability to contribute to the Magento Association’s vision
Late September, 2025: Slate Decision
The Election Committee will make a final decision on the slate candidates by the end of September
October, 2025: Public Announcement of Board Members
After the Board’s approval, the newly elected members—one from the direct election and three from the slate process—will be announced to the community. The newly elected Board members will begin their terms
